Meghan has long been a proponent and activist for women’s rights and has been advocating for women and ethnic miniorities. Meghan recently spoke at the Royal Foundation Forum where she said, “Women don’t need to find a voice. They have a voice.” Previously Meghan had spoken with Elle UK in 2016 and remarked that fame had brought her a sense of responsibility as a role model, saying she was hoping to focus less “on glass slippers, and more on pushing through glass ceilings.”

Meghan and Prince Harry were on hand to support the charities including the Malala fund, Plan International, the Varkey Foundation and Code Camp. The was a fitting engagement for Meghan who once acted as an advocate for UN Women and gave a speech for the organization in 2015.

The event is Meghan’s second in just two days and further emphasizes her transition from royal girlfriend to future duchess. The bride-to-be stunned in an elegant but affordable LBD fitted sheath dress with a waist cinching belt called the Jackie O by the label Black Halo. The founder of Black Halo, Laurel Berman, claims the dress is flattering on a variety of shapes and sizes and has an overall slimming effect.

Meghan has been creating a fashion firestorm lately with her unique and groundbreaking style. Yesterday, the former Suits actress wore a strapless black and white pinstripe dress which she paired with a colorblock-style crossbody from the Australian brand Oroton. Many royal watchers were surprised with her casual approach and felt her $1995 Altuzarra dress was more relaxed than regal.

Shutting down the naysayers, Meghan looked ready to reign in the black business dress with an asymmetric neckline, ruched bodice and wispy belt. A few fervent fashionistas noted that royals typically only wear black to funerals, however, Kate Middleton recently wore a chocolate brown (nearly black) Catherine Walker coat to Easter service this year–thus, it’s not entirely forbidden for a duchess to wear darker shades.

Meghan also wore Aquazzura Milano Suede Cutout Pumps, Plaisirs de Birks Diamond Swirl Earrings and a Gucci Dionysus Suede Chain Mini Bag.

Many were impressed with Meghan’s sophisticated style and chic chignon hairstyle. What do you think of her look today?
