On their first day in Ireland, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan attended a garden party at Glencairn House, the British Ambassador’s Headquarters. The couple concluded their busy day with the glamorous evening following the centenary of the Royal Air Force early this morning at Westminster Abbey along with a flypast at Buckingham Palace. The royal duo then flew by private jet into Dublin where Duchess Meghan was seen wearing a green Givenchy pencil skirt and sweater set when touching down on Irish soil.

Today, the Duchess opted for a bespoke Emilia Wickstead dress. The black belted midi dress with a square neckline was a somewhat surprising choice as Wickstead made comments concerning Meghan’s wedding dress that were not well received. Nonetheless, the design looked stunning on the newlywed and she wore the black LBD with aplomb.

The Duchess looked supremely elegant in cocktail attire and it was a refreshing to see her in a square neckline (a departure from the boatneck). The flared tea length skirt was flattering and modest while the flap pockets were reminiscent of the Givenchy pencil skirt she wore on arrival at the airport. The belt was really the star of the show as the wider square belt buckle gave the dress more character and extravagance. The metal rimmed belt holes themselves offered a hint of razzle dazzle without going into shiny, sequin territory. It’s been reported that Meghan’s friend and close confidant Jessica Mulroney is still acting as her stylist and the duchess reportedly enlisted her maid of honor for helping her with her Irish wardrobe. Mulroney paid a visit to London last week to help the royal with her tour fashions.

For shoes, Meghan opted for perennial favorite Aquazzura and wore Deneuve Pumps with a bow and back tie detailing. The pointy toe shoes feature side cutouts and are available at Nordstrom for $750.

Meghan added her Birks Muse citrine and diamond drop earrings. The Duchess of Cambridge coincidentally also frequently wears citrine earrings by Kiki.
