Promising to “hit the ground running” Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are living up to their previous statement; the newlyweds hope to keep a busy calendar of engagements and use their royal ranking to promote worthy causes and organizations. This fall, the dynamic duo will set out on their first international tour to Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. The trip will coincide with the Invictus Games and marks a major milestone for the pair.

Indeed, the two week long tour lasts from October 16 to October 31st and focuses on  “youth leadership, environmental and conservation efforts – including the dedication of several new Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy projects.” The four commonwealth countries Harry and Meghan will visit include many stops at tropical spots like Suva, Fiji in the South Pacific and Nadi, Fiji’s main island known for its beaches, surfing, swimming and orchid gardens. We hope Meghan packs a swimsuit!

The tour closely resembles that of Prince Harry’s parents Prince Charles and Princess Diana who also traveled to Australia and New Zealand in 1983 a few months after their wedding for a 41-day long trip.

And Harry’s brother is no stranger to the sights and sounds of Aussieland. In April 2014, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge along with Prince George travelled to Australia and New Zealand, spending 18 days abroad.

Royal watchers are already scurrying to predict what Meghan will wear when she visits the countries with temperatures predicted to be around 70 degrees Fahrenheit. When Duchess Kate and Prince William traveled Down Under, Kate’s wardrobe consisted of a lemon Rocksanda dress, bright red Catherine Walker coat and matching skirt, a geometric printed Tory Burch dress, a custom-made belted Alexander McQueen coat in cornflower blue as well as an embellished LBD by Jenny Packham with a fern detail to represent New Zealand’s national emblem.

Meghan’s royal tour fashions are likely to look quite different than Kate’s–undoubtedly Meghan will likely opt for more pantsuits, darker shades and fewer dress coats than the Duchess of Cambridge. Indeed, the royal rumor mill predicts that Meghan may opt for a chic Veronica Beard tweed jacket or simple blazer, a Brandon Maxwell shirtdress or a sleek Ralph Lauren velvet or lamé gold cocktail dress. Meghan will likely steer away from busy prints, loud accessories and anything too revealing.

Meghan will also likely want to incorporate a few Aussie designers or New Zealand designers into her tour wardrobe. She may be drawn to the designs of David Jones or Carla Zampatti who both design modern and feminine fashions with a regal air.
