It was a celebratory homecoming as Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan greeted fans on the streets of West Sussex. The royal duo made their first joint visit to the south coast today–about 50 miles from London. Hundreds of schoolchildren, locals and well-wishers gathered on the sunny fall afternoon to see the newlywed pair. Meghan received many flowers including a posy which she smelled with delight as well as colorful bouquets. Some people in the crowd noted that Meghan seemed particularly emotional on the visit and other outlets reported that she was “beaming” and very happy.

For today’s visit Meghan opted for a very Rachel Zane inspired ensemble with a dark green pencil skirt, blouse and satin handbag. The look is very reminiscent of Meghan’s Givenchy ensemble on her first day in Dublin with Prince Harry. Forest green is fast becoming Meghan’s signature shade and the color is beautiful when paired with cream coats and taupe or tan heels.

The Duchess opted for a cream coat by EMPORIO ARMANI called the Cashmere Double Cloth Coat featuring classic lapels. The coat is currently sold out.

The proportions of the thigh-grazing coat worked perfectly with Meghan’s leather green Hugo Boss skirt. The lambskin leather pencil skirt features a panelled structure and is crafted in luxurious leather for an elegant look. In addition, the slim skirt has an extra-soft feel, precise panelling, a back vent and a rear exposed zip with a distinctive puller.

The duchess chose a unique bag from Gabriela Hearst. The handbag is a version of Gabriela Heart’s cult ‘Nina’ bag, which is named after celebrity Demi Moore and shaped like a fortune-cookie. Created in Italy from lustrous emerald satin–it’s backed with leather to preserve its sculptural shape.

And on this occasion, Meghan went for a pretty and petite necklace by Adina Reyter (ID What Meghan Wore). The pavé diamond pendant has a little eye-catching sparkle and features an adjustable length chain and ring clasp.
