A Princess gets her Prince! Today, October 12th, 2018, Princess Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank in a lavish wedding at Windsor Castle. After seven years of dating the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, is officially a bride turned newlywed.

Eugenie and Jack invited the public to celebrate in their wedding fun and approximately 1200 watched the bride and her beloved leave St. George’s Chapel. The public also got to listen to a live broadcast of the marriage service and watch the couple on their carriage procession through the grounds of Windsor Castle. The ride is similar to Prince Harry and Meghan’s May 19th wedding ceremonial procession.

And to avoid replicating the exact same Sussex procession route as in May, Princess Eugenie and Jack had a shorter and covered carriage route and did not journey down the Long Walk (the Long Walk runs south from Windsor Castle to the 1829 Copper Horse statue of King George III atop Snow Hill).

Today’s service began at 11am and the Dean of Windsor, David Conner, married the couple while the Archbishop of York, John Sentamu led the prayers. More than 800 guests gathered in St George’s Chapel, including most senior members of the Royal Family including maid of honor Princess Beatrice as well as the Cambridge and Sussex families. Other notable guests included: Kate Moss, Liv Tyler, Demi Moore and Ricky Martin.

Both of the duchesses made a swift entrance into the chapel prior to the vows. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex quickly made their way into a side entrance of the chapel and dealt with windy conditions. Duchess Kate was even seen trying to keep her hat in place. Many guests dealt with strong guests of wind as a result of Storm Callum.

The ‘Fab Four’ (as they have been dubbed) looked happy and at ease in the church sitting together. Indeed, the Sussex and Cambridge couples sat side by side with Duchess Meghan sharing a long chat with Princess Anne who was outfitted in a green dress. Prince William appeared to study the program and Prince Harry shared pleasantries with Zara Tindall in the front row of the chapel. Duchess Kate and Prince Harry also seemed to make small talk while William held Kate’s hand throughout the service.

For the wedding, many royal watchers predicted Kate and Meghan would wear outfits created by their wedding designers. Indeed, Duchess Meghan wore a navy Givenchy dress and long coat with a navy cocktail hat by Noel Stewart. The button up coat was described by some media outlets as “demure” and Meghan likely intentionally decided on a dark blue ensemble so as not to steal attention away from the bride.

The Duchess of Sussex kept with the navy theme and added a few accessories including a number of gold rings from Pippa Small. Specifically, Meghan wore the Pippa Small gold and diamond ring, the Pippa Small Hermiker Diamond Ring and the Pippa Small Hermiker Diamond Eternity Band. The handcrafted ethically sourced jewelry was first sold in Notting Hill in London and today can be purchased online. Shop Pippa Small Jewelry.

To finish off the look, Meghan carried a Givenchy handbag, Prada gloves (thanks to Meghan’s Fashion) and wore Manolo Blahnik BB Pumps in navy suede.

The Duchess of Cambridge went for a bright mulberry bespoke Alexander McQueen dress similar in style and design to her 2017 bubblegum pink McQueen dress. Both dresses share similar pleating and a paper bag waist. Kate added a netted floral and velvet Philip Treacy fascinator (thanks to MF Perth for information).

Kate finished the look with Prada Velvet Pumps (thanks to Heaven QRF) and her diamond pendant earrings a loan from the Queen. The shoes are currently sold out and Kate’s velvet burgundy clutch is not yet identified.

At the end of the ceremony, the bride and groom made their way into their glass carriage for their procession. Congratulations to Eugenie and Jack!
