The Fab Four (technically the ‘Fab Five’ –including baby Sussex) looked regal and ready for some merriment as they headed to church as a royal super squad. Indeed, Meghan and Kate both were picture perfect in their seasonal styles as they walked alongside their husbands Prince William and Prince Harry on the way to church in Norfolk. The foursome were ready for religious services at St. Mary Magdalene alongside the other members of the royal family including Princess Eugenie, Prince Charles and the Queen.

Despite rumors of a rift, both Kate and Meghan appeared at ease and looked comfortable on their jovial winter jaunt where they stopped to greet fans who brought flowers, drawings and other gifts. Duchess Meghan even gave a big bear hug to an old Instagram fan that she recognized in the crowd.

Both Meghan and Kate settled rumors of a feud with their many furtive friendship glances and subtle body contact including a moment where Meghan even gently laid her hand on Catherine’s back in a subtle but significant gesture of closeness.

In fact, Kate and Meghan’s body language gave no indication of any difficulty or drama behind the scenes of the royal household. Both Windsor wives showed interest in each other with warm facial expressions and close proximity. The two frequently managed to exchange smiles and looked to even slightly mirror one another’s stride and pace during their public walkabout.

While the news media were focused on the rapport between the royal ladies–there was also the issue of the curtsy. Meghan managed to perfect her slightly wobbly 2017 curtsy with a rather elegant and dutiful drop. In fact, one news outlet called the mom-to-be’s new and improved curtsy “Meghan’s Christmas gift to the Queen.”

While the personal drama may have been at a minimum, no doubt there was some major fashion fireworks coming from both women who looked elegant and chic on the frosty December day. Duchess Meghan opted to create an entire ensemble courtesy of friend and fellow Brit Victoria Beckham.

For footwear, Duchess Meghan selected tall black heeled boots by the former Spice Girl’s fashion label. The shoes are described as “towering black leather boots from the label’s Pre-Fall ’18 collection.”  This knee-grazing style is crafted with maximum impact as the sleek rounded-toe silhouette is set on a high block heel.

There was much speculation about Meghan’s leather gloves that she carried throughout the morning and it was determined by Anne Young on Twitter that they were Club Monaco Claudia Tech leather gloves. The gloves were sold at ShopBop but are currently out of stock. Find a similar pair online.

Meghan’s also believed to have worn her Anita Ko Huggies 18-karat gold diamond earrings as identified by Anne Young.

The earrings are available in Rose Gold at Saks Fifth Avenue. Or also in White Gold.

For Christmas services, the Duchess of Cambridge opted for a berry-hued holiday ensemble. Honoring her late mother-in-law, Duchess Kate selected a Catherine Walker coat (a favorite of Princess Diana). The duchess wore a similar dress coat for Remembrance Day services in a dark green shade.

The style is not far removed from her vintage looks of the past including a long burgundy coat with fur collar and tweed button front brown style.
