The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge along with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall released new photographs from their Christmas cards this year. The family photographs highlight some very important events this year.

The Cambridge photo was taken at Anmer Hall in Norfolk during the fall with all three of William and Kate’s children and marks the extra special occasion of ‘baby’s first Christmas’ for little Louis. For the black and white Sussex photo, there is also major celebration being captured with the photo highlighting the Sussexes on their first evening as husband and wife on the grounds of Frogmore House. The photo was taken by fashion photographer Chris Allerton and released by Kensington Palace.

The pair who are moving to Frogmore Cottage on the grounds of Windsor are likely to cherish the photo even more as it represents not only the start of their married life together but also signifies the whirlwind year the couple have experienced with lots of literal and figurative fireworks as they have weathered the press, started newlywed life and are expecting their first child together in the spring.

Perhaps symbolically, Meghan and Harry opted for a black and white photo to focus the attention on their relationship and togetherness as a couple. With their hands intertwined behind their back, there is a sense of strong unity and an unbreakable bond even in the eye of a rather explosive series of events and news throughout the year. Throughout it all, Harry and Meghan have endured side by side. The twosome have faced growing pains in their royal life and have adapted to a new normal as a ‘duke and duchess duo’ in the spotlight with aplomb. The comely couple continue to showcase their talents and tenacity for helping others while creating new traditions and leading the way in the modernization of the monarchy.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge opted for traditional family photograph in color showcasing their beloved family in the great outdoors. The charming family portrait was taken by photographer Matt Porteous and is similar in style to other snapshots in the family album.

The Cambridges look relaxed and happy outfitted in sweaters and jeans with Princess Charlotte even wearing a hand-me-down blue cardigan sweater from older brother George.

For the frame-worthy photo, the Duchess of Cambridge opted for her Fjallraven Forest Green Ovik Wool sweater that she wore earlier this year to Sayers Croft Forest school. Find a similar sweater from Fjallraven on Amazon.

The delightful family photo captures the spirit of the Cambridge clan who focus their time and attention on family matters and love to find time to visit their country estate Anmer Hall where their children can play without press and public intrusion.

Next year will be very exciting as the Sussexes Christmas card will likely showcase their new bundle (or bundles) of joy. The Sussex baby will be around 8 months old in December of 2019.
