The Duchess of Sussex was radiant in red and pretty in purple as she and Prince Harry visited Birkenhead where they carried out their first joint engagement of 2019.

The Duke and Duchess appeared rested and refreshed following their busy holiday season in Birkenhead in Merseyside. For this January outing, the pair visited local organizations that support and empower groups within the community, including Tomorrow’s Women Wirral and Hive Wirral Youth Zone. Meghan even presented a mom-to-be with a Moses baby basket inside a local citizen’s supermarket which helps less fortunate families. Harry and Meghan also sat down at a community cafe with Meghan declining coffee (she said “because of the baby”) in favor of mint tea and lemon cake.

Meghan, who revealed she is due in April and doesn’t know the gender of the baby, looked to have a pregnancy glow in a bright and bold color combination of red and purple. She dressed her blossoming baby bump in a purple dress by Babaton for ARITZIA and wrapped up with a red coat by Sentaler. Meghan also owns the style in camel and wore it to her first Christmas with the royal family. The coat is still available at Saks Fifth Avenue and Lane Crawford.

The regal color combo was immediately likened to one of Princess Diana’s favorite style statements.

In addition, savvy royal watchers noted that Meghan’s Sentaler ribbed coat is not unlike a style worn by the Duchess of Cambridge in Canada.

Meghan looked positively perfect in a plum colored dress by Babaton (the dress is currently sold out).

Meghan also carried her second Gabriella Hearst fortune cookie bag.
