The Duchess of Sussex–who has been given a revised moniker by many: The Duchess of Success — is off to a big start in 2019 and living up to her new name. Kensington Palace announced four new patronages for the royal mom-to-be and the duchess seems a perfect fit for each of the worthy causes involving the arts, access to education, support for women and animal welfare.

For today’s outing, the duchess went for a business casual ensemble with a touch of exuberance in the way of some cow print plexi heels by Gianvito Rossi. The look is quintessential ‘Meghan’ with a long duster coat, fitted dark colored dress and fun, flirty heels plus a unique pair of earrings by Kimai called ‘Felicity.’ No doubt, Meghan feels the emotions associated with ‘felicity’ or intense happiness as she and Harry await the arrival of their new bundle of joy in the spring.

The visit to Smart Works is not the first for Meghan who has previously made private visits where she coached young women; royal reporter Emily Andrews noted that Meghan has made four or five visits to the organization and has coached women for various job interviews and employment opportunities. According to the Smart Works chairwoman Juliet, Meghan has already made a “big difference” and is very empathetic and a “natural” at helping advise and guide the women in the organization.

For today’s visit the duchess even selected a Hobbs cape as a style option for East Londoner Patsy Wardally–the brand happens to be a favorite of the Duchess of Cambridge as well.

For Meghan’s own ensemble, she went with a low-key business casual look that was chic and understated. She wore the Eliza dress by HATCH–which is described as a “lightweight knit dress with a T-shirt style bodice that flows into a simple skirt. The tailored silhouette has a relaxed fit that allows the piece to be worn comfortably at any time, even during pregnancy.” The bodycon midi retails for $218 and is a pullover style available in one size–the dress can be found online at Shopbop.

For a jacket, Meghan opted for an Oscar de la Renta Cotton Twill Coat.

The jacket is crafted from sand cotton twill and is designed with a swinging silhouette. Featuring oversized lapels, the elegant tan colored coat makes the perfect investment piece and works for daytime and evening occasions. Pairing beautifully with navy and black, the flouncy topper is sophisticated and chic. The $2990 coat is currently available at Oscar de la Renta and Orchard Mile.

For the stop at Smart Works headquarters, Meghan selected a chic handbag from designer Victoria Beckham. The vanity textured leather tote is somewhat similar to the powder box bag she carried for Christmas with the royal family and is also very similar to the Duchess of Cambridge’s recent Aspinal of London top handle bags. Meghan’s tote is inspired by vintage vanity cases and features textured leather and a flip lock-fastening front flap.
