The Duchess of Cambridge makes it seem easy to look modern, elegant and approachable. While most of us mere mortals could take a few fashion lessons from the future Queen consort, there are ways in which she’s imparted her wardrobe wisdom through the years so that we need not sign up for a Princess Diaries schooling (though it would be quite fun to have a little Julie Andrews tutelage). In fact, Kate pulls off the casual chic look with such grace and poise, it’s perhaps best that we review her guide to Spring Dressing 101.

Here are 8 Kate Middleton Inspired Dresses You Need in Your Closet for Spring:

  1. Lilac Lady

Kate wore this pale lavender Emilia Wickstead dress in Hamburg, Germany in the summer of 2017 with Prince William and repeated the style late last year. The glowing mom of three looks every inch the purple princess in this gorgeous pastel swing dress.

8. Wandering Gypsy

Kate wore this Alexander McQueen dress to visit the coast guard in Canada. The feminine white and red dress featured a tiered skirt and floral buttons–and showed off the colors of the Canadian flag. The pattern of the dress was reportedly inspired by floral patterns painted on gypsy caravans and canal barges in the British countryside.
