It wasn’t a night at the museum–but rather a daytime visit for the Duchess of Cambridge who made a surprise visit to the Natural History Museum in London today. As patron of the museum, Kate was there to view the Angela Marmont Centre for UK Biodiversity and learn more about initiatives to protect 80,000 species of wildlife in the UK.

The embargoed visit was not announced ahead of time and royal watchers were delighted to have one more opportunity to see the duchess ahead of the Royal Tour of Pakistan next week. For this outing, Kate wore a high-low look with a mix of Chanel, Jigsaw and Warehouse. And she brought back her beloved Tod’s fringed pumps and Asprey Oak hoop earrings. Plus, the duchess was sporting some fresh cool blonde highlights befitting the transition to fall.

Kate’s fall friendly ensemble featured a berry colored sweater by Warehouse. The high neck jumper has a scalloped neck and cuffs with a pointelle detail at the yoke.

Kate has become a dedicated culotte wearer in the last year. And she kept up the trend with today’s engagement. The future Queen consort opted for Jigsaw Khaki Relaxed Gathered Waist culottes with an elastic waist, front slant pockets and a wide-leg.

For shoes, Kate wore an old favorite–her Tod’s Burgundy Fringed Leather pumps featuring a sturdy block heel and cushioned footbed. The Italian-made footwear is finished with an elegant gold buckle and the brand’s signature pebbled sole.

For a handbag, the duchess opted for a Chanel Calfskin Flap Bag with an enamel handle. Kate first carried the chic bag in Paris in March 2017 and later for Sunday Service after Christmas in early January 2018.

The mom of three also wore her Asprey London Oak earrings featuring intertwined oak leaves in 18K gold with pave diamonds.
