The Duchess of Cambridge stunned at the London Palladium in a floor-length custom Alexander McQueen gown. The black lace style is not a major departure for the mom of three who has worn black lace dresses on a few occasions in the past including a Temperly London lace dress in 2012 and 2013 as well as a black lace Diane Von Furstenburg dress she wore also to the Royal Variety performance in 2014. For this evening in London, the duchess donned a custom Alexander McQueen dress lined with beige silk chiffon–the style is reminiscent of the designer’s lace mini dress and lace peplum styles.

Kate’s dress shares some of the same features as Alexander McQueen’s peplum lace dress which features the signature gothic romanticism used in many of the designer’s most coveted styles.

For a handbag, it’s believed the Duchess selected her Jimmy Choo ‘Celeste’ clutch bag. The statement accessory is the perfect piece to keep on rotation in any glamorous wardrobe.

To add a little razzle dazzle to the all black outfit, the future Queen consort selected her floral hoop earrings from Erdem featuring mother-of-pearl beads with orange, black, and gray crystals. She last wore the hoops in fall of 2018 for an outing at the Victoria and Albert Museum.

To complete her elegant evening attire, Kate wore her Jimmy Choo Romy 100 Black velvet pumps.
