Despite a busy evening spent with world leaders at the NATO reception at Buckingham Palace, the Duchess of Cambridge was ready for royal duty and a bit of farm fun as she donned Christmas colors in Buckinghamshire today. The mom of three looked excited and eager to help in the Elves’ Enchanted Forest where she participated in making decorations and assisting with creating eco-friendly reindeer food.

The visit was an important one for Kate as it marked her new patronage Family Action which was awarded by the Queen this morning. Visiting the farm was a way for the duchess to meet with families and children who are supported by the charity. The reigning monarch relinquished her role as patron after 65 years and bestowed the honor on her granddaughter-in-law.

Long a fan of outdoor activities and recreation, Kate looked right at home at Peterley Manor Farm and was more than happy to browse the tree selection. For the outing, the duchess selected cheery Christmas separates with a green sweater and red puffer jacket from her closet. The fitness-minded mom opted for her Perfect Moment Mini Duvet II Jacket which she has worn in the past for a London Marathon training engagement and at Aston Villa Football Club.

For a sweater, it’s believed that Kate wore a long crew neck jumper by Really Wild in the color emerald (currently sold out). The ribbed topper pairs perfectly with skinny jeans or leggings (ID Poppy G).

To finish off her country chic look, the duchess opted for her Berghaus Supalite GTX Walking Boots. The comfortable hiking boots are available on Amazon.
