The Duchess of Cambridge was so moved during a Holocaust Memorial Day remembrance ceremony that the mother of three had tears welling up in her eyes. The poignant event was attended by dignitaries, Prime Minister Boris Johnson as well as actress Nina Wadia and actor Martin Shaw. The memorial at Central Hall commemorated the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp. Both Kate and William participated in events with the duke and duchess lighting candles while the prince gave a special reading.

For this occasion, the duchess wore a Catherine Walker coat dress which she previously donned on a day with the Queen in March 2019. The ‘Zeline’ dress is described as a “1950’s style coatdress in black and wool check with wide box pleats and an open neck.”

The duchess styled the retro Zeline coatdress in a similar manner to the Catherine Walker model who wore pointed pumps as well black stockings with the belted design.

Kate completed her ensemble with her Jimmy Choo celeste clutch.

And wore her Cassandra Goad pearl earrings.

After the moving ceremony, the duchess enjoyed a laugh with Holocaust survivor Yvonne Bernstein.
