Head of the Class! The Duchess of Sussex looked polished for her final solo engagement in Dagenham at the Robert Clack Upper School. In East London on Friday, the mom of one was chic in a belted fringe jacket, two-tone heels and a new vintage coin inspired gold necklace.

The duchess received flowers upon arrival at the school.

To mark International Women’s Day, the duchess surprised 700 students at a school assembly where she discussed the importance of empowering women.

She also spent time with the students and the group gathered together to make the  #EachForEqual pose.

Meghan also received gifts and gave hugs at the podium.

The duchess took home a jacket as a present from students.

She also became animated when discussing some of her favorite topics like women’s empowerment and social justice.

For the outing, the newlywed wore a belted fringe boucle jacket from ME+EM.

The California born brunette teamed the chic jacket with new two-tone pumps from Jennifer Chamandi. The ‘Lorenzo’ pumps have the designer’s signature needle stiletto, which she says “creates the curve of the foot and the sway to the hips.” This pointed pair has been made in Italy from smooth beige and black leather and are detailed with a slender buckled strap which can be removed. The colorblock style adds interest to Meghan’s outfit and elevates a workwear ensemble while adding a trendy touch.

Meghan carried a Nane bag created by Rejina Pyo which is designed in cotton with a rounded form elevated by a handle in the form of a bow.

Meghan completed the look with a new accessory–an Edge of Ember Kismet gold necklace. The piece is based on vintage coins found in Asia, which are modern-day talismans carry icons of good fortune. The square Kismet Necklace pairs a four leaf clover with the lucky number 7, for double doses of good fortune.
