Now that she’s living full time in Canada, the duchess will likely downsize her wardrobe or at least make more room for her everyday basics. While dramatic cape dresses and crepe midis with fanciful details might be ideal for the royal circuit, there will be less necessity for such luxe fashion in daily life in the woods of Vancouver. And while we can’t wait to see Meghan’s new Canadian capsule collection–odds are most of the items have already been part of the Duchess of Sussex’s signature style.

Here are Meghan Markle’s Must Have Wardrobe Basics:

Blue Button-Up

Since the beginning of Meghan’s career–the chambray shirt has been a mainstay. From photo shoots to Suits scenes and yoga class jaunts, the former actress and blogger is all about the cotton classic. The duchess is especially partial to J.Crew’s everyday chambray shirt.

Soft Scarf

Staving off the Canadian cold will be an easy feat with Meghan’s cozy and versatile couture-quality Scottish cashmere scarf. Perfect for bundling up baby Archie, this lightweight cashmere wrap from Cuyana in the shade nude–is the perfect British Columbia essential.

Shell Sunglasses

Proving she’s already wearing her most beloved basics, the duchess was spotted on an airport run in Canada in her iconic Le Specs Bandwagon sunglasses in black tortoise. It’s not the first time she’s worn the reliable sunnies–she’s also donned them on the way to Windsor for her wedding rehearsal, in Fiji on tour and at Wimbledon alongside Duchess Kate.

Jean Jacket

When not in glam mode–the duchess is likely to run errands like any normal mom and will likely hit up the local organic delicatessen in cool girl skinny jeans and a jean jacket. Meghan has been partial to this Madewell jean jacket in pinter wash for a number of years and sported the distressed denim outwear while living in Toronto and on tour in Africa.

Big Bag

Meghan’s iconic and infamous Everlane Day Market tote is still one of the most sought after bags in the world. And while the duchess might now be carrying baby wipes instead of lip gloss inside the roomy cognac carryall–the functional tote is still perfect for life in the remote regions of North Saanich as well as being royally suitable for mom life.
