While the Duchess of Cambridge is widely admired for her royal patronages, balancing her work and family life as well as her impeccable fashion sense — the future Queen consort is routinely idolized for her hair. Full, bouncy and glossy — Kate’s mane is her crowning glory. While the Berkshire beauty no doubt has amazing genes and loads of thick follicles to thank for her glorious tresses — Kate also has a team to help her manage, maintain and manipulate her naturally curly and sometimes frizzy locks.

In her younger years, Kate’s shiny strands were beautiful and her brunette locks were kept in a shoulder-length style. Later, in college she used her hair’s natural wave and body to create funky and fun hairdos with loads of barrel curls.

While graduating from college Kate flaunted her enviable smooth and silky mane polished to perfection — in her royal years to come her locks would appear thicker, longer and fuller with the help of a beauty squad.

Often opting for subtle highlights, long layers and the hint of a fringe — Kate’s hair is now considered her trademark.

The duchess’ hairstylists and makeup artists often make the mother of three look different at every outing with subtle tweaks. Kate’s hair sometimes appears to change in density and volume based on her work for the day. In Pakistan on a recent tour, Kate’s hair went from sleek bouncy blowout to coiffed with curls during the same week, thus, making her hair appear much fuller and thicker.

In 2018, Kate’s hairstylist Amanda Cook Tucker shared a snap of the products and tools used to get Kate’s hairstyle into perfect princess mode. Among the many round brushes and hot tools there were smoothing products, thickening hairsprays and volumizing mousse.

Kate’s magical mane is thanks to a lot of round brushing, curls for increasing volume and creating fullness and lots of blowout techniques which also add thickness.
