Being the younger sister of one of the most famous women in the world can have its challenges but Pippa Middleton doesn’t seem the least bit bothered by her sister’s global fame and superstar status. In fact, the Middleton siblings are so close they’re often spotted in similar fashions and frequently wear the same clothing brands. And these two brunette beauties are so in sync that they often overlap in their Christmas chic styles.
Case in point: both ladies brought the festive feels in these stylish printed dresses and similar accessories. The princess wore a red and green Vanessa Seward dress called the ‘Cai’ for a Christmas party in December 2016. She added a Mulberry Bayswater clutch and Alexander McQueen belt to complete the holiday outfit.
Perhaps Kate was inspired to create the seasonal style from sister Pippa who wore a very similar Tabitha Webb Twiggy dress and Beauchamps of London Medium Codrington Clutch in black for a store opening in September 2014. The socialite and author finished her look with a Logue London swirl belt. While this occasion was a definite matchy-matchy moment — Kate and Pippa again brought the holiday twinning to new heights with their similar green coat styles.
In December 2021, Pippa wore a hunter green tailored Italian wool coat coat designed in a herringbone weave from The Fold London. A year later, in November 2022, Kate stepped out in Boston in a strikingly similar forest green coat from Alexander McQueen. Still, this wouldn’t be the Middleton sisters last moment of style solidarity. Pippa looked glam in green for the British Heart Foundation event in London in early December 2023. Wearing a Self-Portrait Green Guipure Lace Midi Dress — she appeared to be channeling her sister’s style savvy in the feminine and festive frock. Kate wore a similarly minded green lace number from Temperley London back in 2017.
Both evening dresses had striking sheer green lace and a tonal green waistband. While Pippa’s dress featured short puff sleeves and twist neck detail, Kate’s dark green Temperley London had a floral lace motif with a fitted bodice, full skirt and eyelash lace trim on the collar and cuffs.
