When the Princess of Wales debuted her elegant ‘Georgia’ pink sequin statement gown at the Jordanian wedding reception in June 2023, royal watchers were captivated and mesmerized by the allover sequin style. Glittery, glossy and glamorous, the princess brought the dress drama with her evening gown covered in shimmery sequin.
Attending the nuptials of Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan and Princess Rajwa at the Al Husseiniya Palace in Amman, Kate appeared to be heavily leaning into the Barbiecore trend in her romantic and regal style.
Drenched in rose gold crystals and donning the pearl and diamond Lover’s Knot Tiara, Kate was every inch the fairy tale princess.
The dazzling dress made its second royal appearance on December 5th, 2023 at a Buckingham Palace Diplomatic reception. Kate wore the identical regal accessories and sparkling shoes with the dress as she previously donned in Jordan.
The British beauty recycled the Greville Diamond Chandelier earrings, Prada Raso satin pale pink box clutch and Gianvito Rossi 105 Rania pumps dusted with silver sequin.
Kate’s stunning floor length gown is the epitome of elegant evening wear; in fact, the dress is such a favorite of the Queen-in-waiting that she owns the style in both green and pink.
The designer dress from the House of Packham is also beloved by other royal ladies including Crown Princess Mary who was clad in the pink version of the dress for an interview commemorating her 50th birthday with the international newspaper the Financial Times in February 2022.
The soon-to-be Queen Mary of Denmark posed at Frederik VIII’s Palace in the sequin soaked embellished tulle gown. While the Princess of Wales owns many designer dresses from the label, this was Mary’s first fashion foray into wearing Packham’s couture creations.
The European royal ladies aren’t the only ones impressed by Packham’s feminine and fanciful gowns. In fact, Renee Zellweger wore the Georgia gown hailing from the brand’s Autumn/Winter 2019 collection for an interview with Red Magazine in October 2019.
Kate’s Packham dress would work as a chic cocktail dress or elegant evening gown for any glitzy affair. The pink gown is currently available at Farfetch, Net-a-Porter and MyTheresa. Or you can purchase the satin rose gown at Harrods (seen below).
For those on a budget, you can find a similar blush colored sequin maxi dress for less than $150 at retailer Pippa & Pearl.
