As patron of the Lawn and Tennis Association (LTA), Princess Kate is tasked with promoting the popular racquet sport. Having held the role since January 2017, the princess has become a regular in the royal box at The Championships, commonly known as Wimbledon.

Every year, the princess attends multiple matches and shows off her impeccable courtside fashions. From dainty day dresses to retro recycles and thrifty throwbacks, Kate knows the value of looking flawless and serving serious royal style.

Here are 5 of Kate Middleton’s Best Wimbledon Fashion Moments:

1. 80s Queen

Paying tribute to her late mother-in-law Lady Diana with a long pleated skirt, Kate appeared to channel the People’s Princess in July 2023 with her designer blazer from Balmain and flowing white summer skirt. The soft mint jacket paired perfectly with her pleated midi skirt and optic white heels. She finished the glamorous sport spectator ensemble with a ladylike Mulberry Amberley Crossbody bag.

Looking to make a citrus chic statement, Kate brought the cheer to the 2022 Wimbledon Championships with this bow shoulder dress in marigold. A favored color for acing her tennis lookbook in the summer, this bright yellow Roksanda Brigitte dress felt fun, festive and fresh. The princess paired the canary number with an LK Bennett Saffron Straw Hat and white leather pumps from Gianvito Rossi. To add a bit more luxe, she wore her Kiki Eden Citrine Flower Drop Earrings.

5. Collector Cool

The princess donned this funky “Obsession” talisman print silk dress in ivory for Wimbledon watching in July 2016. Cheering on the likes of Andy Murray, Kate wore this tailored Italian made dress with a whimsical print (an ode to collectors and their obsession with trinkets and treasures) featuring flowers, hummingbirds and lipsticks to join husband Prince William in the grandstands. Kate paired the dress with praline pumps and a straw framed box clutch from L.K. Bennett. For accessories, she recycled a bit of jewelry from a trip to Bhutan and opted for her Brora gold charm earrings.
