The Princess of Wales annual carol concert has become a special and a significant date on the royal calendar. Known for showcasing music and celebratory songs, the December performance is one of the most happy and joyous royal events of the year.

For the fourth year in a row, Princess Kate will host her ‘Together at Christmas’ service at Westminster Abbey this year on December 6th. The festive program will include performances from local choir groups and emphasizes themes of love and empathy.

Honoring those who have counseled, comforted or supported others in their communities, the service will be filmed and broadcast on ITV1 and ITVX on Christmas Eve.

Each year for her caroling ensembles, the princess gravitates towards Christmas-colored hues like Santa red, berry burgundy and snow white. Every previous look has been a monochrome style statement — with matching and color coordinating shoes and handbags.

In December 2021, the mom of three opted to honor those who had supported UK residents through the Covid-19 pandemic. In collaboration with the Royal Foundation, the princess held her first ever carol concert and showed off her impressive piano skills.

Kate was joined by the Tindall family, Duchess Sophie and the Middleton family for the holiday event.

For her first carol concert called Royal Carols: Together At Christmas, the princess wore a Catherine Walker Beau Tie long coat in scarlet red. Defined by a dramatic bow embellishment, the wool crepe coatdress boasts gathered pleat detailing which falls from the shoulder to tie into a statement bow at the neckline.

Owning the identical coat in black, Kate paired the topper with her red Miu Miu bow embellished suede handbag. The soft clutch is made in Italy from plush crimson suede. The princess has carried the bag on four occasions since its debut in Canada in 2016.

She completed the look with Gianvito Rossi 105 suede pumps in Granta Red.

In 2022, the princess opted for a cabernet colored ensemble. For the musical event attended again by Zara Tindall and her husband Mike, Pippa and James Matthews as well as Carole and Michael Middleton, Kate wore a striking tailored Eponine London midi coat.

The burgundy coat with tonal buttons paired perfectly with her bordeaux accessories including a croc embossed Aspinal London Mayfair clutch handbag along with Scottish retailer M&Co’s bow accented fleece gloves.

To add a little holiday pizazz to the chic yuletide ensemble, the princess went for multi-colored gem earrings from budget brand Accessorize. The brunette beauty opted for the Eclectic Gem Statement Long Drop earrings with stones in ruby, pink and red.

In 2023, the princess decided for a winter white ensemble to celebrate those in the childcare arena aligning with her Shaping Up campaign. She brought along her three children–Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to enjoy the star studded performances including musical numbers by Adam Lambert and Beverly Knight.

For the carol service, Kate wore a coat custom crafted by Chris Kerr. The menswear tailor from Soho’s Saville Row in London creates bespoke wedding and business suits for clients seeking to have handmade pieces designed to reflect their individual styles.

Kate’s new coat is her third design from Kerr (she also owns a pastel purple and heavy weight white wool style from the tailor)  who supplies suits for action movies like “John Wick 2” and British themed film fare including “The Iron Lady” and “Wimbledon.”

Kate paired her crisp white single-breasted coat with a soft-white Kitlane 100% cashmere crewneck jumper featuring a ribbed cuff, hem and neckline. For pants, she selected new Holland Cooper high-waisted trousers in ivory defined by a high waistband and two large side pockets adorned with luxurious gold hardware.

The star of Kate’s snowy style was her Strathberry Mosaic Nano Bag in Vanilla. The chic compact purse is designed from soft, malleable leather with a classic front flap and the brand’s signature gold tone bar on the exterior. Crafted in Spain of 100% calf leather, the mini bag can be carried by the top handle or worn across the body as a crossbody.
