The Duchess of Sussex looked exquisite as a royal bride on May 19th, 2018. On the historic day, Meghan opted for not one but two wedding dresses including a breathtaking white bateau gown by Givenchy as well as a very modern halter Stella McCartney dress she wore to the the evening reception at Frogmore House with her new husband Prince Harry.
While Meghan received raves for her elegant and chic wedding dresses-perhaps her most glowing reviews were given for the most ‘quintessential Meghan look’ of the day–her stretch-crepe column gown with an open back. Far less traditional than her aisle debut, the white halter gown by British fashion designer Stella McCartney could be worn as a bridal look or as formal cocktail party attire.
The sleeveless dress felt very fun and fresh and Meghan appeared extremely comfortable in the design showcasing her toned arms and shoulders.
Meghan paired the delicate dress with a Princess Diana aquamarine ring–received as gift from Prince Harry.
She finished the look with Aquazzura mesh Shiva 105 pumps which are now available in nude and black (Meghan wore the shoes in white).
The duchess had a bespoke pair created for her special day, thus, the icy blue bottom of her shoes feels particularly special and sentimental as her ‘something blue’ for the day. Meghan would also likely love the Savoy cutout pumps–which feature a similar mesh design.
