The duchesses stepped out for Prince Charles’ 70th birthday dripping in diamonds. In fact, both women wore dazzling statement earrings with some serious sparkle to the private Buckingham palace party hosted by the Queen to mark Charles’ milestone birthday.
The Duchess of Cambridge wowed in large rosy peach earrings that looked to have matched her pink single shoulder floral embellished gown.
The party dress reminded some bloggers of a ruffled Marchesa ballgown with tiers of tulle and intricate floral detailing. Kate had worn Marchesa previously for a Buckingham Palace State Banquet and for the opening of the 42nd Street musical in the West End of London in April 2017.
Even if Kate’s gown was sensational, it would be hard to top her teardrop earrings covered in diamonds. The Duchess of Cambridge previously wore the jaw-dropping accessory at the 100 Women in Hedge Funds Gala in 2011 where she paired the chandelier earrings with a red dress. And Kate broke out the beauties for the BAFTA awards in 2017 when she wore a floral black off-the-shoulder gown.

Even though Kate’s earrings were quite the showpiece, Meghan’s citrine chandelier earrings were nothing to balk at. The Duchess of Sussex sported some serious ear candy with her large yellow diamond sparklers.
Duchess Meghan previously wore the jewels in Fiji and they were reportedly a privately borrowed gift.
Some Twitter users claimed that Meghan’s gown was purple with a bit of the dress peeking out as she and Harry drove to Buckingham Palace. The dress possibly was adorned with sequins and it would’ve been quite amazing to see Duchess Meghan in purple and Duchess Kate in pink–both having a bit of a girly princess moment together.
