While the Duchess of Sussex may have had to ditch many of her beloved mini skirts and slinky camisoles in favor of a royal wardrobe, she’s still slaying in the style department as the Duchess of Sussex. Even though her days of short babydoll dresses and thigh grazing skirts are mostly a thing of the past, we can still fondly remember some of her more risqué red carpet outfits and recall some of her more daring styles in her first year as a duchess.

Wearing a formfitting mini skirt in a taupe hue along with a silk blouse, Meghan looked ready to mix and mingle at an industry event for the USA network back in her acting days.
2. Passion for Fashion
Attending a Marchesa fashion show in 2014, the duchess wore a black bodycon dress and carried a gold clutch. The outfit was a city chic statement dress that likely made her blend right into the crowds of fashion elite.
3. It’s a Wrap
At the Herve Leger fashion show for Spring/Summer 2014, Meghan opted for a belly baring bandage crop top and skirt by the designer. The event in September of 2013, showcased Meghan’s trendy and modern style sensibilities.
4. Glam Slam
In a dress that might make the Queen blush, Meghan looks like a triumphant fashionista in her revealing evening gown by Jason Wu and a pair of luxe lace heels.
5. Queen of Hearts
The Duchess of Sussex highlighted her taut tummy in a cropped shirt and flared skirt on February 14th 2015 for a Misha Nonoo fashion event in New York City.

Meghan looked every inch the future celebrity ingenue in this photoshoot where she donned a pale pink blazer, tassel necklace and some seriously come hither eyes.
7. Skirt Flirt
Meghan managed to cause a bit of a kerfuffle in her gloriously regal royal blue Givenchy skirt which she wore on a walkabout in New Zealand which showed off her undergarments. Some people called it a ‘Diana moment’ but really the skirt’s transparency was only apparent under some seriously intense flashbulbs.
8. Menswear Moment
Proving why she’s a style icon, Meghan shunned a conservative dress or long gown for an evening on the town with her prince. Instead, she opted for a leg baring and low neckline mini tuxedo dress.
9. Silver Screen
Meghan played a paralegal on TV but in real life she was every inch the glamorous Hollywood actress. One look she pulled off with aplomb was her silver metallic mini she wore to the Vogue Fashion Awards in her pre-duchess life. For the stylish soiree, she added a lucite clutch and heels to complete her shiny bold ensemble.
10. Ruffling Feathers
Meghan’s Ralph and Russo engagement dress with its sheer bodice and perfectly placed embellished leaf detail seemed to cause quite a style stir. While the gorgeous gown with a feathered skirt was a showstopper–it definitely was one of Meghan’s more daring and memorable outfits.
