In November 2016 the Duchess of Cambridge proved that wintery weather was no match for a determined fashionista. Baring her enviable gams in a Crochet Floral Maxi — the stunning royal glided down the red carpet in one of her most glamorous and memorable gowns.

The Duchess donned the off white maxi for a special film screening of the world premiere of “A Street Cat Named Bob” at the Curzon Mayfair cinema in London. Fashion critics and royal watchers were wowed by the dress drama–not only did Kate not opt to be bundled up for the evening affair but she selected a somewhat risqué look with the gown’s thigh high side slit, mesh bodice and crepe skirt with peek-a-boo pleats.

Designed by London-based label and founded by Han Chong–Self Portrait has become a Hollywood favorite as the brand celebrates an ultra-feminine vintage bridal meets high-fashion aesthetic. The design house has become synonymous with looking regal and elegant on the red carpet; celebrity fans include Paris Hilton and actress Jennifer Morrison who have been spotted in the flirty frock at media events.

In addition, the pleated crochet maxi has been popular in royal circles–Princess Sofia of Sweden and Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway also have worn the elegant cream gown.
