While Easter Sunday heralds the start of the spring season, it’s also a time for the royal family to renew their spot in the affections of the public. Each year, the royals band together and make their traditional walk to church.

Often clad in rewears, the Princess of Wales looks spellbinding every spring in her cheery coats and pastel pieces. Far from blending in with the crowd, the mom of three loves to don a stately and structured coat to mark the egg-centric and special Sunday.

As the princess will not attend this year’s service and will instead be spending time with family at Anmer Hall during her health recovery, we thought we would revisit her most enchanting Easter ensembles.

Here are 6 of Kate Middleton’s Most Elegant Easter Outfits:

1. Aussie Easter 2014

For their official royal tour Down Under, Kate and William attended Easter services at St. Andrew’s Cathedral in Sydney. For the occasion, Kate wore a dove grey funnel neck coat by Alexander McQueen. The tailored topper has structured shoulders, cropped sleeves and a concealed front fastening. Kate finished the prim and proper ensemble with a few more slate shaded accessories including a Jane Taylor grey ribbon accented fascinator, McQueen grey box clutch and L.K. Bennett taupe suede Harper pumps. Finally, she looked egg-cellent in her white gold and diamond mid-length Fortune drop necklace by Mappin & Webb.

2. Elizabeth at Easter 2017

In one iconic pictures of Easter 2017, the Princess of Wales is photographed greeting the late Queen Elizabeth at St. George’s chapel with a smile and perfectly executed curtsy. For the occasion, Princess Kate wore a cream colored Catherine Walker coat that she previously debuted on tour in British Columbia back in 2016. She paired her regal topper with a pleated white Lina skirt by Whistles (circa Catherine’s closet 2011). For headwear, the princess opted for a Jackie O inspired style and selected a square pillbox hat by Lock & Company. She added a lattice clutch from Etui along with the Queen’s loaned pearl and diamond stud earrings. She finished the retro look with her trusty Rupert Sanderson Mallory nude pumps.

3. Chocolate Bunny Brown 2018

Proving pale and pastel shades aren’t always her go-to, Kate surprised fans and followers with her recycled Catherine Walker coat in a carob colorway for Easter 2018. The princess looked immaculate while anticipating the arrival of Prince Louis in her bespoke knee-length crepe coat with a chic Chelsea collar. In addition, the British beauty wore her Sylvia Fletcher for Lock & Company ‘Betty Boop’ felt pillbox hat with a brown bow. She accessorized her chestnut colored outfit with a blush colored lizard effect clutch by Loeffler Randall and for footwear opted for her Gianvito Rossi 85 praline pumps. To finish off with some extra extravagance, she added Balenciaga Eugneia clip-on pearl earrings. (Shop Kate’s pumps at Nordstrom HERE)

4. Sydney Replay 2019

The princess adhered to her stance on fashion frugality and recycled her soft grey Alexander McQueen coat for the 2019 spiritual service at St. George’s on the Windsor Castle estate. She paired the sophisticated coat with a Jane Taylor ‘Lupin’ velour teardrop beret. For a more monochrome palette, she added a steel grey Emmy London Natasha clutch and opted for the brand’s steel suede Rebecca pointed high heel court shoes. She finished the distinguished daywear outfit with acorn accessories including her Robinson Pelham earrings and oak leaf acorn brooch.

5. Powder Blue Princess 2022

Having skipped the seasonal gathering with the royal family years prior, Kate was back in fine form following a pause for the pandemic in a soft sky blue fit and flare coat dress by Emilia Wickstead. Kate’s elegant recycle was first spotted in Germany in May 2017. The princess paired her on-theme pastel dress with a Jane Taylor ruched headband accented with a bow scrunchie at the back. Finally, she carried a soft suede duck egg blue Emmy London Natasha clutch and wore her Rebecca Riviera pumps in blue-grey suede. For bling, she added classic earrings and wore her Cassandra Goad pearl studs.

6. Sapphire for Spring 2023

Attending the Easter Sunday Mattins Service at St. George’s Chapel 2023, the princess wowed in a cobalt blue coat courtesy of Catherine Walker. The stunning sapphire statement was thanks to her midi Mayfair coat and some strategic accessories. For the first Easter of King Charles’ reign, Kate wore a knotted bow fascinator in bright blue by Lock & Company as well as oval shaped lapis and moonstone ‘Stella’ earrings from Carousel Jewels. She finished the stand-out style with a Natasha clutch in coordinating cobalt. Despite the dazzling dress coat, her bright berry manicure was what caused the most fanfare.
