1. Emilia Wickstead Kate Square Neck Dress 

A vintage dress with ladylike appeal, this Wickstead number is owned by the princess in four colorways including: lilac, teal, green and blue. A cinched waistband, square neckline and A-line cut give this dress serious sophistication.

 

2. Alexander McQueen Paperbag Pleated Dress

Hailing from the British fashion label’s Autumn/Winter 2016 collection, this flirty skater dress is designed from a silk-wool blend. Kate loved the style so much she wore the look in cotton candy pink for Trooping the Colour in June 2017 and in a raspberry shade for Princess Eugenie’s wedding in the fall of 2018.

 

3. Preen Finella Satin Midi Dress

Crafted from a heavyweight satin fabric, Kate donned the red version of this elegant fit-and-flare midi for a royal tour reception in Canada in September 2016. The princess was so enamored with the asymmetric neckline gown that she repeated the look in  black the following month at a Place2Be award ceremony.

The Princess of Wales stunned in this floral georgette shirtdress by American fashion designer Michael Kors in September 2019 for Princess Charlotte’s first day of school. However, the British beauty had already worn the style for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding rehearsal the previous May. Later, Kate wore the same shirtdress featuring a mod foulard print for a hospital visit in December 2019. 

 

6. LK Bennett Madison Dress

A multi-colored chiffon summer dress made of soft silk, this breezy midi has been sported by the princess for many on and off duty occasions. Kate first debuted the purple dress for a dinner date with Prince William in August 2015. She later picked up the pink version and wore it for personal outings and royal business. Most recently, the future Queen wore the purple multi midi with a custom Chris Kerr pastel blue maxi coat in June 2022 for a visit to Cambridgeshire.

Kate wore this tea length dress in white for Wimbledon in July 2019; she was so fond of the button front shirtdress she rewore it three more times. The retro dress is designed of Italian crepe and later appeared on the princess in emerald green in May 2023 at the Anna Freud charity headquarters.

These D&G dresses were perfect for formal events in Kate’s diary. In one of her  ‘wow’ royal fashion moments, Kate debuted this shimmery sequin dress in glittery green in Pakistan in October 2019. The ultra-sparkly evening gown was such a hit with the brunette beauty she opted to purchase it in pink; she wore the mesmerizing crystal ‘Barbie’ gown at a royal wedding reception in Jordan and a palace party in December 2023.
