Call it semi-casual garden glam. The Princess of Wales always looks immaculate when touring the annual summer garden display at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. While this year the princess will be absent due to undergoing cancer treatment and a course of preventative chemotherapy, there’s still plenty of floral fashion to revisit.

Here are 5 of Kate Middleton’s Best Chelsea Garden Show Outfits:

1. Cathereine Walker ‘Evelyn’/’Lara’ Coat Dress in Grass Green

A bespoke creation for the princess, this grass green Venetian wool coat dress boasts sharp shoulders, full A-line skirt with hand pick stitching and a coordinating tonal green belt. Kate stepped out in the spring-ready coat dress for the garden show in May 2016 for her first visit with Prince William (Prince Harry also accompanied the couple). The Wales observed the garden displays and horticulture installations and even admired a pink and green chrysanthemum named after their daughter Princess Charlotte.

2. & Other Stories Floral Ruffled Maxi Dress

For a visit with her family of five to the Back to Nature Garden at the Chelsea Flower Show in May 2019, Kate paid homage to her surroundings with a long sleeve button-up shirtdress featuring a delicate floral print.

3. Rochas Green Dahlia Print Midi Dress

The princess has only appeared in this designer dress on one occasion — she wore the $2000 silk fit and flare emerald green dress with a white floral print to make the trek around the Royal Hospital Chelsea grounds. The princess and other members of the royal family enjoyed a garden preview tour with Kate chatting with exhibitors at the Hillier display. The down-to-earth royal even picked up a cherry tomato that had fallen on the floor to eat after visiting the Radio Two taste garden.

4. ME+EM Pink Colorblock Silk Shirtdress

A classic shirt collar shirtdress, this pleated pink dress has a removable belt and dipped midi hem. Kate sported the 100% silk bubblegum pink design for a visit to Royal Hospital Chelsea on May 22, 2023. She paired the dress with her Castaner Carina suede espadrilles. During the garden outing, Kate enjoyed a picnic with 100 schoolchildren as well as having a chat with Chelsea Pensioners. Princess Diana’s nieces Lady Amelia Spencer and Lady Eliza Spencer also attended the show.

5. Erdem Shebah Floral Gown

Looking like a Victorian doll, the princess wore this white cotton-silk voile maxi printed with a multicolored floral pattern for a Chelsea Garden Show preview in May 2019. Presenting her Back to Nature garden exhibit to the late Queen Elizabeth II, Kate was elegant and enchanting in her gown accented with delicate white crocheted lace and raw-edge ruffled trim. Princess Eugenie also stepped out in a similar floral design with a shorter length from the British fashion label.
