The Princess of Wales stunned at the German State Banquet in a mesmerizing bespoke blue sequin gown from one of her favorite designers, Jenny Packham. Appearing radiant at the white-tie affair, Kate was dressed to impress in a long glittering cape gown.

The princess’ violet dress was a standout at the elegant evening dinner where the senior royals hosted German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife Elke Büdenbender at Windsor Castle.

The dinner is significant as it is the first time a German president has visited the UK for a state visit in 27 years.

For the special event at St. George’s Hall, Kate donned a bespoke cornflower blue sequin cape gown from British bridal and evening wear designer Jenny Packham. The striking gown reflects the color of German’s national flower; it features blue-violet iridescent sequins in an ombre pattern with the rhinestones placement fading and delicately diminishing along the cape. Creating a visual of twinkling stones at the shoulders, this dazzling dress reflects light from every angle.

For a tiara, Kate wore a new headpiece which she’s never worn previously. The princess opted for Oriental Circlet Tiara. A part of the Royal Collection, this diadem is one of the oldest pieces crafted by Garrard for the royal family.

Designed for Queen Victoria, Garrad describes the piece as made with an “Indian-inspired design of lotus flowers and Mughal arches.” The 19th century headpiece originally featured opals but the stones were replaced when the tiara was passed to Queen Alexandra in 1901.

The Queen Mother became fond of the Oriental Circlet and wore it on numerous special occasions including for 50th birthday portraits alongside her husband King George VI.

After the passing of both her parents, Queen Elizabeth II inherited the tiara and wore it on one occasion during her reign while on a trip abroad to Malta in 2005.

Kate paired her new elegant Packham evening dress with Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Chandelier earrings. She has worn them on multiple occasions since she first stepped out in the sparkling drop earrings on a trip to Los Angles in 2011.

The princess carried her Anya Hindmarch Maud bespoke clutch in black satin.

For shoes she wore her Gianvito Rossi Rania 105 pumps in silver.

She also wore the Royal Family Order of King Charles III.
