The Princess of Wales made a poignant visit to the Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester on Thursday.
Speaking with patients receiving chemotherapy, the princess’ visit was an emotional one for the mom of three who underwent the same treatment regimen in 2024.
For the daytime visit, the princess recycled her Eponine London midi coat dress she last wore for a COP26 reception in November 2021. (The princess also owns the style in a burgundy colourway).
Paying tribute to NHS workers, blue is a symbolic sartorial choice and the color of the NHS organization.
She paired the crepe coat dress with her Gianvito Rossi 85 pumps in praline suede.
And completed the look with another thoughtful touch — she added her bespoke Vanleles Honeycomb Bee Hoop Earrings. The insect is a symbol of the city of Manchester.
Not only is it the bee the official emblem of the city’s history and community but it’s the motif used following the May 2017 Manchester Arena bombing; the bee became a public symbol against terrorism and violence. Similar HERE
The earrings also have personal significance — the princess herself is a fan of beekeeping and enjoys the pastime as a hobby.
