The Princess of Wales cut a solemn figure as she and Prince William attended the Requiem Mass held at Westminster Cathedral for Katherine, Duchess of Kent.
The late duchess married Queen Elizabeth’s cousin the Duke of Kent in June 1961 in North Yorkshire, England. The couple were married for 64 years prior to her passing at age 92 on September 4, 2025.
For the Mass, the princess recycled her black Catherine Walker Beau Tie coatdress.
The A-line wool crepe topper boasts pleats falling gently from the shoulder into a bow at the neckline. The British beauty owns the coat in both black and red and has previously worn the black version on three royal occasions including for Prince Philip’s funeral in April 2021, a meeting with Olena Zelenska in September 2022 at Buckingham Palace and also was pictured in the piece at a royal family portrait at a Heads of State reception in October 2022.
Kate paired the elegant coatdress with her Jane Taylor Halo pillbox cocktail hat featuring a mourning veil.
She previously donned the hat for the late Queen Elizabeth’s funeral procession in September 2022.
The princess also honored the Queen with her jewelry choices and wore Elizabeth’s Four-Row Japanese choker.
She paired the statement necklace featuring cultured pearls with the Silver Jubilee pearl drop earrings.
Kate carried her designer black quilted Chanel Mini Flap bag in black lambskin by the crossbody chain strap.
She finished the look with Gianvito Rossi 105 black suede pumps.
