The Duchess of Cambridge was back to royal duties after a five month hiatus following the birth of Prince Louis. Kate looked happy and healthy as she resumed her official engagement schedule with a visit to Sayers Croft Forest School and Wildlife Garden at Paddington Recreation Ground in West London.
Kate seemed to enjoy spending time with local school children and even went hunting for slugs and spent time making leaf crowns. She also took part in storytime and had a little fun with the children who told her their favorite part of forest school was “eating.” Kate giggled and laughed throughout the visit while admiring the Surrey based center which is a mere two miles from Kate’s Kensington Palace home.
The recreation center provides inner city children with the opportunity to engage with nature and experience the joys of wildlife firsthand. No doubt a cause important to the Duchess of Cambridge who joined in during a school session to listen to teachers and instructors who spoke about the benefits of nature on mental health.
For today’s visit, the duchess went with an old style standby–her beloved Penelope Chilvers Long Tassel boots that she’s had in her closet for over a decade. The luxurious boots are made of Spanish vegetable-dyed leather and are exclusively cut for a feminine fit with a scalloped detail at the zip panel and a leather tassel on the zip pull.

The duchess also wore a casual outfit that was reminiscent of her previous outdoor ensembles–including a cargo style jacket, sweater and button down shirt. Specifically the duchess wore the Fjallraven ‘Stina’ jacket in green. The lightweight windbreaker combines two types of G-1000 fabric to fend off wet weather and features a poly-cotton ripstop on the body as well as an inner flap, full-length front zipper, fixed hood and stand-up collar.
In addition, the duchess wore a fall-friendly lightweight sweater (ID Christin Zi) in forest green called the Fjallraven Women’s Övik Re-Wool Sweater.
The duchess added a fun, printed silk shirt from the brand Joseph Rainer (ID Laura Ashworth). The uniform-wear inspired white silk blouse features dark-green flower buds. In all likelihood, Kate selected this particular shirt as a fitting tie-in with the nature-focused engagement.
To round out the look, Kate went for her favorite Zara Mid-Rise Biker pants.
And the duchess finished the look with Monica Vinader Green Onyx Siren Wire Earrings which Kate has worn multiple times in the past.
