While Meghan Markle was in the Big Apple on a trip to see old friends and celebrate her impending bundle of joy, she managed to sneak away for some time to dine and gossip with gal pals. From a trip to have macaroons and sip tea with bestie Jessica Mulroney to a stop at the Met Breuer Art Museum and a lunch date with Abigail Spencer at the Surrey hotel, Meghan definitely had a mega mommy visit to the Empire City.
But while Meghan was hustling and bustling in the snowy streets of New York, her friends were busy making her shower fit for a princess (or duchess!)
Here are the 7 Best Baby Shower Gifts Meghan Received:
- A Chic Crib
A crib from the Babyletto brand was seen wrapped in its original packaging being delivered to the Mark hotel. The North American children’s brand has a range of contemporary convertible cribs — mostly in shades of white and gray along with dressers made of New Zealand pine wood.

2. Baby Books
Abigail Spencer was seen carrying a blue and green gift bag into the Mark hotel from the Book Culture bookstore. The famed store has locations on Broadway and the Upper West Side in New York. Spencer likely gave her friend a few children’s books for her new little one.
3. Mummy Necklace
Meghan received a thoughtful gift from one of her close friends–a yellow gold ‘Mummy’ necklace from jeweler Jennifer Meyer. The necklace features the British version of the word ‘Mommy’ in lower case letters.
4. Luggage Party Favors
While it may not have been a gift for Meghan, Abigail Spencer was seen wheeling in a silver luxury suitcase by Away Travel. A large shipment of the suitcases were also delivered to Meghan’s Mark hotel. Cosmopolitan reported that Meghan gave all her guests the aluminum luggage as a party favor. Shop similar HERE
While not technically a gift, Meghan’s luxury suite was likely filled with flowers as carts of blossoms were seen being delivered to her temporary home in the sky. Meghan later donated all the fresh florals to nursing home patients.
While not technically a gift either, Meghan’s makeup artist Daniel Martin shared pics of yummy treats from the decadent feast provided for baby shower guests at the hotel. Meghan’s baby shower cookies looked especially cute and included a frosted stork cookie as well as rattle and bib sugar cookies.
7. Private Jet
Perhaps the best “gift” Meghan received was a trip on her friend Amal Clooney’s private jet to New York and back home to London. A source told The Sun newspaper: “Meghan hitched a ride with Amal on the private jet. Amal was already flying back and covering all the costs so it made total sense. Amal was more than happy for Meghan to fly back with her and the kids. It’s absolutely not the case that the taxpayers or the royal family paid for the cost of the jet. The flight didn’t cost Meghan a thing.”
Other guests included Serge Normant who may have gifted Meghan with some new products from his haircare line as well as Misha Nonoo who likely offered Meghan some new clothing from her brand. In addition, close friend Serena Williams likely outfitted Meghan with some chic new duds from her eponymous clothing line.
Meghan and her crew also enjoyed a cotton candy machine and harp music by Erin Hill while they spent time learning how to arrange flowers.
