The Princess of Wales made a surprise TV appearance for a live charity event for Children in Need airing on the BBC One. Clad in a Betty shirt from the London based womenswear brand Lisou, Kate charmed viewers with her impassioned video message encouraging donations.

The fundraising event aired on Friday November 17th, 2023 and included special dance and singing performances. Since 1989, the charity telethon has raised money for disadvantaged young people across the UK. The organization has reportedly raised 1 billion dollars for children in need. The organization frequently features its mascot the  ‘Pudsey Bear’ in its programs and appeals for donations.

For the appearance, Princess Kate wore her Lisou Betty Blue Rainbow print shirt.

Lisou is known for their playful patterned garments, bold prints and colorful selection of fine silk fashions. The brand has attracted a celebrity following with many stars appearing in the label — Jenna Ortega appeared in a waistcoat from the design house, Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted in a high neck midi dress from the brand and Olivia Rodrigo wore a metallic blue heart jacquard jumpsuit from Lisou in July 2021.

For the latest BBC appearance, the princess also wore her Anderson’s croc-effect black leather belt. She has been wearing the accessory since 2020 and frequently dons the belt with pantsuits and workwear styles. The stylish belt is made in Italy where artisans use a 100-step process to create the piece which fastens with a gleaming gold buckle. Princess Kate has worn the belt around 10 times and recently sported it with a yellow LK Bennett blazer for an appearance in Birmingham.
