While the Duchess of Sussex has mastered the art of relaxed Cali casual dressing, she’s also managed to lay claim to Canadian cool girl styling. Often spotted walking to and from the Suits set, attending yoga class and going on Farmer’s Market jaunts for fresh flowers while residing in Toronto, Meghan demonstrated her ability to elevate snowy basics into stylish superheroes. From simple quilted Sorel boots to plush puffer parkas, Meghan’s fashion has become an example of contemporary Canadian chic with a heaping dose of quiet luxury.

There was no better place to demonstrate her prowess for a winning winter wardrobe than in British Columbia where the duchess found herself bundled up in new outerwear and chic statement coats this week.

The Sussexes spent a romantic Valentine’s Day at Invictus Games training sessions in the lead up to the 2025 games. Prowling the snowy banks of Whistler, Meghan and Harry met with athletes and visited Winter Training Camp to chat with competitors while watching adaptive skiing and snapping photos.

For the outing, the duchess donned a new Calvin Klein Maxi Puffer coat in the shade barley. The long quilted beige jacket has a knee-length silhouette and is styled with long puffy sleeves and a stand up collar. Similar style HERE

Keeping up the minimalist ‘vanilla girl’ aesthetic, the duchess wore a cozy crewneck sweater in soft ivory. The knit pullover is believed to be her engagement top from Victoria Beckham or the Co Classic Crew cashmere sweater. Similar style HERE

In addition, the duchess donned new Sorel Joan of Arctic boots in quarry/black. The faux fur trim boots have a waterproof suede upper and heel height of 1/2 an inch. Cozy and chic, the rubber sole boots are practical for cold weather and winter nights.

Paying homage to her iconic beanie days, Meghan sported a new black Burberry pom pom beanie crafted from wool cashmere. The luxurious hat has chunky knit design, fluffy pom accent and is trimmed with a Burberry logo plaque.

Meghan also wore new Blenders Eyewear Grove Polarized Sunglasses in the shade Midnight Drama. The sleek sunnies have glossy black frames, hand-crafted temples, and smoked lenses.

The California based royal is also believed to have worn her Frame Le Skinny Jeanne Crop Jeans. Similar at Nordstrom HERE

Later, the duke and duchess toured the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre in Whistler, British Columbia. For the First Nations museum and art gallery tour, Meghan wore a new black button front coat. The mom of two wore the DÔEN Heirloom Kensington Coat.  Handcrafted from a wool-cashmere blend, the topper is inspired by 60s mod outerwear. The retro coat is lined with viscose twill and features a subtle A-line cut, custom-designed buttons, and a wide Italian velvet collar—plus two patch pockets with brass button details, and princess seams for added structure.

Meghan wore a strikingly similar Gucci wool jacket on her cable drama Suits on Season 7 episode 4.

Later, the Sussexes were spotted on a cozy date night at Italian eatery Il Caminetto restaurant in Whistler Village. The duchess recycled her Loro Piana Loreen reversible coat for the romantic evening. Perfect for Valentine’s celebrations, the bicolor coat is designed in scarlet shades of pear red and spiced orange. In addition, she carried a Valentino red V-ring flap crossbody bag.
