Multiple media outlets are reporting that the Princess of Wales and husband Prince William along with their three children George, Charlotte and Louise are moving into a new eight bedroom home in Windsor Great Park called the Forest Lodge.
Seeking a fresh start, the Wales are relocating from their cozy four-bedroom Berkshire home Adelaide Cottage to the more grand and stately Georgian mansion Forest Lodge.
With an estimated value of around 21 million dollars, the eight bedroom, six bathroom property is perfect for the family of five.
The property boasts a drawing room, chandelier-lit ballroom, long gallery and staff cottages. Additional amenities on the parkland grounds include a large pond and tennis court.
Construction work has already started on the premises with minor external and internal renovations being done — including updates on doors, windows, ceilings and floors. The Wales plan to move into their new 328-year-old home before Christmas of this year.
The Sun newspaper reported that the princess was spotted out looking for furniture for the new abode and was seeking a 24-seat table at an antique and surplus furnishing store.
After a long and grueling chapter battling cancer, the princess and her family are looking for a fresh start and new scenery. They hope Forest Lodge will be their “forever home.”
The Wales’ latest move will be privately funded and the family will have no live-in staff.
