The Princess of Wales showed off her best autumnal styling for a fun engagement at Windsor Castle. On the final day of the U.S. State Visit, First Lady Melania Trump and Princess Kate hosted a group of young scouts on the lawn at Frogmore Gardens. The duo played games like parachute, drew pictures, ate honey sandwiches and handed out badges to the Scouts’ Squirrels during the joint engagement.

For the occasion, the princess wore a new ME+EM cropped military moto jacket (past season). Designed in dark olive green suede, the 100% leather jacket boasts a boxy fit and cropped length.

The First Lady was also clad in a suede jacket for the outing — the mom of one wore the Bryn Belted Lamb-Suede Jacket by Ralph Lauren (past season similar). She paired the safari-inspired topper with slip on shoes — the Roger Vivier buckle flats in brown.

The princess paired her fall-friendly jacket with a Straight Sweater Vest in brown cashmere also from ME+EM. The chestnut brown knitted sweater is the perfect layering and is comprised of a fluffy texture and brushed cashmere fabric. In addition, Kate showed off a dark green floral print scarf from Sudbury Silk Mills (the princess toured the workshop last week). The 100% silk scarf is from a collection by Stephen Walters 1720. Created with a dark floral print, the scarf was woven specifically for the princess.

For the fall outing, the princess donned a new skirt from Ralph Lauren — the brand’s Evilyn Birdseye Tweed Skirt in Dark Brown. The A-line skirt boasts trouser-inspired elements, including belt loops, a zip fly with a buttoned waist tab as well as a coin pocket. Tailored with front waist pleats and back waist darts, the flowing long skirt is crafted from neutral, yard-dyed Italian tweed. The soft wool fabric was custom-developed with yarns woven in a birdseye structure to create a sweater-like finish.

Kate opted to wear her Gianvito Rossi Glen Knee-High Suede boots with the casual outfit. Worn frequently in the fall and winter seasons, Kate’s tall boots boast a pointed toe and are based on the designer’s Glen 85 slouchy boots.

And the princess finished the look with her Spells of Love gold garnet teardrop earrings with a removable charm. The mom of three has worn the antique textured hoops in 18k gold on five previous royal occasions since their debut in March 2023 at an Irish Guards event.
