Are the Wales coming to America? There has been rampant speculation that the prince and princess are bound for US soil this summer. Though Kensington Palace has not confirmed any overseas travel plans, there are circulating “royal rumors” that the Wales will be en route to America this July.
With the World Cup taking place across the United States in late June and early July as well as the 250th anniversary celebration of the United States independence on July 4th, this would be a special summer for the Wales to travel across the pond.
Here are 5 Signs Kate Middleton is Visiting the USA this Summer:
1. American Fashion Designers
The princess has recently stepped out in Los Angeles based labels Rodarte and Jenni Kayne for royal engagements. Long ago, the mom of three wore a Polish brand ahead of a trip to Warsaw in July 2017.
2. Flag Colors
Our blog was the first to note that the princess wore red, white and blue hues for a recent trio of engagements. As the princess often dresses diplomatically and will frequently wear ‘flag’ hues of the countries she visits, this could be another sign the Wales are heading to the states.
3. Following the King
As King Charles III and wife Queen Camilla made a historic and well-received visit to American soil in late April 2026, it would not be a major surprise if Kate and William followed in his footsteps.
4. Taylor’s Wedding
Prince William hinted that he and the princess may have received an invitation to Taylor Swift’s wedding which is rumored to be taking place in New York City in early July. He spoke of the invite on UK Heart Radio in May 2026 saying, “I’m hoping and I’m sure there might be an invitation around, but we’ll see.” Could the Wales be stopping in NYC to attend Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s nuptials during their rumored summer trip?
5. Previous International Travel Timing
Kate and William often undertake major royal tours in the spring and early summer. They visited Paris in March 2017, the Caribbean in March 2022 and made a visit to Germany and Poland in July 2017. Could America be their next summer destination?
