Besides Prince William, one of the few visitors captured by photographers leaving the London Clinic in Mayfair following Princess Kate’s hospitalization and unspecified abdominal procedure was longtime assistant and friend Natasha Archer. Having worked with the princess for over a decade, the mom of two boys has been a lifeline and major source of support for Her Royal Highness. She is often pictured walking alongside the Wales’ nanny Maria Borrallo while traveling abroad with the Wales family.
Kate’s assistant has been by her side during some of the major milestones during her Crown career including the birth of her children, significant royal events and overseas tours. Whether she’s captured carrying luggage to and from planes or managing floral arrangements from hospital suites, Archer has been a constant and steady presence in Kate’s life.
For her work with the princess since 2011, the King’s College London graduate received a Royal Victorian Order for her contributions to the royal family. The special investiture ceremony held in May 2019 and hosted by Prince William included the bestowing of the MVO badge on Archer during the appointment at Buckingham Palace.
Married to one of the royal family’s most trusted and utilized photographers, Chris Jackson, Kate’s assistant often appears with her husband on social media for family birthday parties, date nights and holidays.
The famous photographer often showcases the Prince and Princess of Wales on his Instagram feed intermixed with intimate family snaps including private parties, Mother’s Day celebrations and travels to places like Corsica and Dubai. He frequently shares pictures of his wife and her stylish vacation fashions and beach ensembles.
Recently, it was revealed that Archer has accompanied the princess to and from hospital appointments and has been by her side during chemotherapy treatments. She reportedly helps make many of the decisions behind Kate’s wardrobe and often shops for the princess online or makes telephone calls to source new outfits. “Tash” as she’s known in her immediate circle, has become a close friend and loyal confidant of the princess.
Now, she’s been rewarded for her loyalty with not only a bigger salary but an upgraded title. According to her Linkedin, Archer has been promoted to Senior Private Executive Assistant to the Prince and Princess of Wales.
Archer’s new position may have come with more than just a new title — the London based assistant showed off a Cartier Ballon Bleu watch on social media leading many to speculate the $6200 watch was a gift from the Wales in recognition of her new role.
