Despite a rather busy schedule as of late, the Duchess of Cambridge showed no signs of overwhelm at Evelina Children’s Hospital. The mom of three looked picture perfect and had a nice assist from a ‘wind machine’ effect provided by Mother Nature.

At the hospital, Kate learned more about the creative arts workshops that are delivered there by the National Portrait Gallery. Duchess Kate is Patron of both Evelina London and the National Portrait Gallery. The NPG works closely with Evelina to bring workshops and artists into the hospital, helping to support the health, wellbeing and happiness of the children who receive care there.

For the outing, the stylish royal opted for a rewear and recycled her classic textured tweed Dolce & Gabbana skirt suit as well as donned her beloved Gianvito Rossi 85 Piper black suede pumps.

For accessories, the busy royal wore her Mappin & Webb Empress pendant and earring set.

There was some controversy regarding the fact that Kate didn’t wear her engagement ring for the visit but there was an easy explanation. Out of respect for hospital policy, the duchess opted not to wear her iconic sapphire ring. Kensington Palace told Hello! Magazine that the duchess took off her accessories because she was visiting the children’s wards, and, as such, it was important for the royal to remove any potential hygiene hazards.
