The Duchess of Cambridge teamed up with Sophie Wessex to pay tribute to the thousands of nurses working across the Commonwealth during the Coronavirus pandemic. To mark the occasion, the duchess and countess participated in a Zoom call facilitated by Kate’s patronage Nurses Now.
For the occasion, Kate recycled a polka dot stretch crepe sky blue Altuzzara ‘Aimee’ dress which she wore for a school visit in fall of 2016 alongside Prince William.
In addition, Kate donned her Patrick Mavros Ocean Tides Milky Quartz Earrings. The earrings are inspired by the Indian Ocean; the cabochon accessory features milky quartz and diamonds. The handmade pair is set in sterling silver and the polished stones dangle elegantly from carefully crafted sea urchins bejeweled with 2.0mm brilliant diamonds and set in 18ct yellow gold. The cloudy appearance of the quartz is caused by tiny water bubbles inside the stone.
The rest of the royal family were also busy thanking nurses with the Queen leading a tribute from Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Cornwall.
