The Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent the afternoon of Tuesday June 23rd with “Homeboys” and “Homegirls” of the Homeboy Industries community social justice organization who are working to improve the lives of formerly incarcerated and previously gang-involved people in Los Angeles. The couple helped staff prep meals and wore hairnets and aprons for their afternoon of cooking and baking.
The Duchess of Sussex is a self-professed foodie and has frequently helped in the kitchen when volunteering. She also wrote the foreword to the Hubb Community Kitchen’s book Together and there are rumors she may embark on another cooking or lifestyle project in the future.
At the cafe, Meghan wore a white button down shirt and accessorized with gold bracelets. In the past, the duchess has worn crisp and classic ‘boyfriend’ shirts from Frank & Eileen, J.Crew as well as Misha Nonoo.
