The Duchess of Sussex sat and had a causal ‘backyard chat’ with feminist icon and social political activist Gloria Steinem earlier this month. Recorded for Makers Women, an organization seeking to accelerate the women’s movement, the discussion was filmed by Matt Sayles in a outdoor setting. At one point during the relaxed conversation, Harry and Meghan’s dogs Guy and Pula made an appearance.
For the sit down session, the duchess wore a pair of a black and white ‘Ryan’ trousers by Anine Bing. The lightweight high waisted pants feature a pinstripe pattern and pair perfectly with a simple white t-shirt. Also available HERE
In addition, Meghan opted for eco-friendly sustainable wood lace-up sandals called the Rhea by Stella McCartney. The black heeled sandals feature a thin cone heel and multi lace criss-cross straps. The shoes are also designed with a square toe and are constructed of non-leather cruelty free materials.
The duchess also wore a straw hat similar to her Sammy style with a long ribbon believed to be the wide brim wheat braid straw hat called the ‘Serena’ by Janessa Leone. Perfect for sunny California weather, the hat provides UPF protection and has removable black contrasting ties and black suede detailing at the base of the crown. The hat is hand braided and offers the highest level of sun protection in the collection from the Los Angeles label.
