The Duchess of Sussex took a step back from her coastal chic style and went for a much more urban glam glow up while touring New York City with Prince Harry. The royal couple made stops at the World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan, United Nations Headquarters on the East River and also stopped in Harlem during their late September tour.
For their visit to One World Observatory, Meghan wore a monochromatic navy ensemble — the duchess opted for what’s believed to be an Armani wool coat, sleek Giuliva Heritage turtleneck and Aquazzura purist 105 pumps.
Later in the day, the couple ventured to Midtown East for an engagement with the UN Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield.
For the outing, Meghan wore a Max Mara Rispoli coat, Giorgio Armani heels and Valentino sunglasses.
As we identified on Instagram, the duchess carried the Valextra Iside Mini Handbag. The Italian made envelope flap bag has a turn lock closure and flat top handle. In addition, Meghan carried her laptop case from Duchess Kate approved brand Smythson.

The next day, Madame Duchess (as she was called in the Big Apple) stepped out in a colorblock ensemble from Loro Piana. Likely a tribute to her late mother-in-law Diana, who also wore a color contrasting skirt suit in New York City in 1989.
Meghan donned shades of burgundy for a visit to a Harlem Elementary school; the mom of two read her children’s book The Bench to schoolchildren. Meghan also donned Loro Piana’s Antoine virgin wool pants as well as a cashmere and silk ribbed crewneck sweater from the Italian fabric and clothing company.
For the daytime outing, Meghan donned a reversible cashmere coat from Loro Piana. The red bicolor coat features a ribbed detachable collar, long sleeves and side patch pockets.
The duchess also wore the Loro Piana eyelet belt (similar).
For lunch at Southern Classic eatery Melba’s, Meghan carried a new wallet from Bottega Veneta.
The former Tig blogger finished the look with Manolo Blahnik Tora pumps in red.
On their final morning in New York City, Meghan and Harry met with the UN Secretary-General.
The duchess wore a cognac colored ensemble featuring a Max Mara Lilia cashmere coat, Max Silk Crepe Classic Shirt and possibly Max Mara Camel Wide Leg Pants. Meghan opted for her fall-friendly suede pumps– the Manolo Blahnik BB camel heels.
The Archewell founder also wore an Air Queen Nano face mask.
And for her final look, Meghan donned a Valentino embellished shift dress. The ivory floral embellished mini was the perfect choice to play MC at a televised outdoor concert in Central Park alongside her husband.
The former Suits star kept the look on the minimalist side with only black satin pumps to finish the retro LWD (little white dress) ensemble. Meghan’s heels are believed to be by Manolo Blahnik or Gianvito Rossi.
The 40-year-old also carried a new Dior Medium D-Lite handbag for the stage appearance. The elegant petite top handle bags were beloved by Princess Diana and a staple in her royal handbag collection. Meghan’s embroidered bag was customized with the inscription DSSOS for ‘Duchess of Sussex.’ (Thanks to emgcollins). The bag features a Cannage motif, embroidered shoulder strap and gold Dior charms.
Meghan and Harry were also spotted on their way back home to Santa Barbara at the airport in New York City — the duchess wore her Chanel ballet flats and was spotted with a new Bottega Veneta Arco bag.
