Worn selectively for big balls and banquets, Princess Kate Middleton’s Lover’s Knot Tiara is her most recycled headpiece. Debuted in 2015 at a Diplomatic Reception at Buckingham Palace — the glittery crown has become Kate’s go-to accessory for grand occasions and special events.

With a special association to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana, the iconic  accessory holds sentimental value for Princess Catherine and her husband as well as the Spencer family. Still, despite the connection with Lady Diana, the piece belonged to Queen Elizabeth II who generously loaned the bejeweled tiara to her daughter-in-law.

The glittery ornament features dozens of diamonds and nearly 20 hanging pearls — the striking sparkler is sometimes referred to as the Cambridge Lover’s Knot.

Here are Kate Middleton’s 10 Best Lover’s Knot Tiara Moments:

At the winter ball at Buckingham, Kate dazzled in a custom red tulle Jenny Packham design with a fitted bodice and full skirt. The gorgeous crimson creation is distinguished by its lace bodice sprinkled with sparkling beads.

A far cry from her more Disney Princess attire — the elegant gown was a sophisticated and elegant choice to pair with the Queen Mary’s Lover’s Knot tiara.
