The Princess of Wales loves a bargain as much as the rest us of us. She’s inclined to wear discount jewelry, affordable sneakers and even budget-conscious clothing. One example of her adherence to ‘princess penny pinching’ is her Mango Perkins Knitted Midi Dress.
Worn on two occasions last year, Kate was a frugal fashionista in the khaki green stretch midi dress in cable knit. Designed by Spanish retailer Mango, the Perkins knit ribbed dress is the ideal piece for layering under belted wrap coats and shawl collar jackets.
Kate first stepped out in the neck-ribbed dress made of a fine knit fabric for a visit to a children’s center in west London to discuss maternal mental health. For the visit in November 2022, Kate wore a long wool-cashmere blend belted coat from Hobbs (sold out) and accessorized with a black crocodile belt from Ralph Lauren. She completed the ensemble with her Jimmy Choo croc embossed ‘Palace’ clutch in green. For footwear, she opted for her Gianvito Rossi pumps in dark olive suede.
The princess recycled the stretchy formfitting sweater dress for Christmas Day Service at Sandringham. On this occasion, Kate wore her custom Alexander McQueen maxi coat with two front flap pockets. Underneath the military-inspired coat, she sported her stylish ribbed midi. She coordinated her dress and coat with a new green felt Philip Treacy hat with feathers as well as her brown Rossi ‘Glen’ block heel boots.
