A new report in US Weekly provides insight into how Princess Kate’s royal role may change and evolve after she’s completed recovery from cancer treatment. According to the magazine, sources have told the publication that Kate’s role may differ from the one she has occupied since marrying into the royal family in April 2011. The cover story gives no specific details as to how her role might be reduced or modified.
Furthermore, the celebrity and entertainment magazine claims to have insider information on the princess and her journey back to full health. Sources tell the magazine that Kate is still actively participating in her children’s daily lives and schooling but is not taking many visitors. The report says that Kate doesn’t want to compromise her recovery by being exposed to any illness because “she is susceptible to getting sick.”
According to the June 17th issue on newsstands, the princess is “up and about” but not going to return to daily work for some time. The magazine says that Kate’s mother Carole Middleton and sister Pippa Matthews are continuing to provide emotional and practical support during her healing process. In addition, Kate is keeping busy cooking and baking as it’s “one of her favorite activities.”
Many news outlets have speculated on Kate’s role following the completion of her chemotherapy treatment — some sources have claimed that the princess could resume her work in autumn while other outlets say she may only appear in public next year–sometime in 2025.
