Kate Middleton Spotted at Balmoral with Royal Family

The Princess of Wales was a welcome sight as she joined the royal family at Crathie Church in Scotland today.

Riding beside her husband Prince William who had shorn his infamous summer ‘dad beard,’ the mom of three looked in high spirits. The couple were joined by their eldest son Prince George who rode in the backseat along with his sister, Princess Charlotte.

An annual tradition for the family, the Wales are seen at the Scottish estate nearly every summer. They were photographed on their excursion to church being joined this year by King Charles and Queen Camilla as well as the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and their children.

Often clad in fall-friendly clothing, Kate dresses for the cool, cloudy weather in the Scottish highlands. This year was no exception as she recycled her Holland Cooper full-length Marlborough trench coat in the shade ‘tawny’ along with her Hicks & Brown Suffolk hat. She wore the identical coat and fedora last year for church services. This year, however, she opted to wear her hair down and loosely curled.

The Holland Cooper coat is a perfect choice for the Scottish climate — it has a military inspired silhouette with a double-breasted front and belted waist. Designed in 100% wool, there are epaulettes on each shoulder, decorative gold buttons down the front along with welted hip pockets with piping trim.

Ideal for autumn, the pale brown coat can be easily paired with cashmere dresses, jeans and turtlenecks or midi skirts. The coat looks chic when layered over chunky cable knit sweaters and knee-high suede boots. Jade Cooper (the founder of the brand) has even worn the coat herself to equestrian events with a coordinating waistcoast and trousers.

Kate paired the luxe $1200 trench, with her Hicks & Brown Suffolk Fedora in dark brown with gamebird feathers. The $130 hat features a cluster of bronze pheasant feathers.
