When the Princess of Wales is investing her Windsor wallet in new accessories and clothing — she often seeks out the pretty pieces from Parisian born brand Sézane. Desiring a playful and whimsical pair of statement earrings, a cozy ribbed jumper or a ruffled blouse perfect for farm-centric escapades, the mom of three will often shop Sézane.

It’s easy to see why the princess loves this label — their clothing feels timeless but approachable. Modern but minimalist. Chic but not ostentatious.

Created by Morgane Sezalory, Sézane is uncompromising in their commitment to affordable French fashions which are both sophisticated and trendy but with a hint of country charm. Each pop-up store — called L’Appartement Sézane and dressed like a high-end boutique meets Parisian apartment — caries a wide range of romantic and feminine fashions with a vintage minded aesthetic. If you want to cosplay Emily in Paris, this is the place to bring your beret and baguette.

Here are 9 of Kate Middleton’s Fashion and Jewelry Favorites from Sézane:

  1. Esmee Earrings

Ornate drop earrings featuring dangling black beads on gold plated brass give these chandelier earrings plenty of wow factor. The princess wore the statement earrings for Royal Ascot and a music festival in the summer of 2023.

2. Marguerite Shirt

Sézane’s retail locations have a shabby chic charm and mid-century retro flair; the homey apartment stores are stocked with flowers, candles and open shelving covered in bags bookended by boots. Farmhouse vibes abound, so it’s no wonder Kate appreciates the brand’s country wares like this charming high-neck shirt with a ruffled collar, pintuck pleats and ladder stitch panels. Kate has worn the button down on three occasions including for the Wales family Christmas card in 2020.

3. Bruna Hoops

Classic and charming, the princess wore these open hoop earrings with gold plated medal and hand-set glass stones once at Victoria and Albert Museum in 2021 and recycled the pair for two outings in 2023.

4. Charlie Earrings

Sézane has been described as ‘Anthropologie on steroids’ due to its carefully curated selection of seasonal styles and retro preppy pieces. Still, the brand offers unexpected items that might be found at a colorful bazaar — case in point: Kate’s bold blue textile covered thread Charlie hoop earrings. The big bobble earrings appeared on the princess in Belize in March 2022.

5. Celeste Mother-of-Pearl Earrings

While Kate’s shiny mother-of-pearl earrings may have seemed a smart choice for their luminous elegance and glittery iridescence, the true fun factor was the fact that they were advertised as ‘sleeper earrings.’ Also called ‘sleepers’ these accessories can be comfortably worn to bed. As the Wales beauty was likely tired after her arrival in Jamaica — the opal accessories probably didn’t even leave Kate’s ears at bedtime.

6. Gabrielle Earrings

Designed from resin and gold plated brass, these faintly colored brown tortoise earrings were a surprise when the princess wore them for the first and only time to a charity polo match in July 2022. The chunky coffee colored earrings perfectly matched the princess’ Finlay & Co Henrietta light tortoise sunglasses.

7. Dina Earrings

Prowling the racks at the Notting Hill Sézane store once again, Kate looked like a bohemian peter pan princess in her dangling Dina earrings. The fringe gold plated earrings featured recycled brass and rows of hanging precious stones. In 2023, Kate paired the airy and oceanic blue earrings with a burgundy Karen Millen trench dress.

8. Taylor Earrings

Vivid and captivating turquoise stone earrings were a win in Kate’s growing collection of Sézane keepsakes. With an air of the American West, the boho statement earrings perfectly coordinated with Kate’s aquamarine Emilia Wickstead dress seen in the Caribbean in March 2022.

9. Sami Jumper and Naelle Skirt

Wearing a vanilla sweater set to Nottingham Trent University, Kate pledged her style allegiance to the French fashion label. The mom of three donned a merino wool ribbed jumper called ‘Sami’ in the shade natural along with the brand’s coordinating midi skirt called the Naelle. Proving she’s the master of monochrome, Kate’s oatmeal sweater separates from Sézane felt fun and fresh for fall.
