The Princess of Wales showed her support for the performing arts and made a private visit to a matinee performance of Giselle on September 26th.
The princess was so moved by the romantic production about a young peasant girl named Giselle, that she shared a public message on social media. The mom of three wrote a congratulatory note to the performers of the English National Ballet on their inspiring rendition.
Previously the princess has made unofficial visits to the ballet and is often spotted attending performances with Princess Charlotte in tow.
In addition, she’s visited the costume department of the Royal Opera House in January 2019 and viewed the work of seamstresses who are responsible for refurbishing and conserving thousands of opera and ballet costumes per year.
The princess has long been passionate about dance and was photographed making an undercover visit to attend the Nutcracker ballet in December 2017.
For the holiday performance, the princess wore a long black cloth cape by Zara and her petal print mini oversized tunic dress by Alexander McQueen. Available here off-the-shoulder and available here in a ruffle version.
